- It's crunchy.
- It's salty (salty and crunchy are my two favorite taste sensations).
- It tastes wonderful with cheeseburgers (a big favorite food of mine).
- It makes eggs taste like something besides...eggs (copious amounts of salt and pepper are also needed, but the bacon helps a LOT!).
- It's wonderful with mac and cheese (another big favorite).
- It's small and cooks up quickly in the microwave.
- Fried hominy with bacon...comfort food of my Appalachian ancestors.
- It makes stews taste more rich and hearty.
- It's good for enticing a finicky dog to eat.
- A little goes a long way.

oh yum, bacon. i have't had it in years. i seem to remember that it was actually turkey bacon, and really light and crunchy. i may have to get some next time i do my shopping. that would taste great. thanks for mentioning!
